JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jaguars made a handful of practice squad moves on Tuesday, including the signing of former Bishop Kenny star quarterback John Wolford.
Wolford has started four games in his NFL career, all with the Rams. He spent most of the offseason with the Buccaneers, including playing in the preseason game at EverBank Stadium last August. The signing of Wolford indicates that Jacksonville is bracing for the possibility of Trevor Lawrence missing some time after suffering his second concussion in less than a year in Sunday’s 23-20 loss to Houston.

Mac Jones finished the game for Lawrence and started the two others that he missed with a shoulder injury. The team already has CJ Beathard on the practice squad, but he would likely be called up to the 53-man roster to serve at Jones’ backup.
The team also signed punter Matt Haack and long snapper Tucker Addington. It released defensive end Joe Gaziano, cornerback Tyler Hall and offensive lineman Jerome Carvin from the practice squad in corresponding moves.
