JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The News4JAX Super 6 girls high school basketball rankings will be published each Tuesday — except during the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas — through the regular season. Records are through Nov. 18.

1. Bishop Kenny (1-0, Class 4A)
Notable: The Crusaders have become a machine under both ex-coach Charlsea Clark and her successor, Will Mayer. Kenny has reached the state semifinals six consecutive seasons and played for the championship three times, losing to powerhouse Lake Highland Prep each time. Graduations have sapped veterans from the program but it’s difficult to argue with the system. Kathleen Crawley (7.5 ppg), Abby Baker (3.4 ppg) and Reese Mayer (3.4 ppg) will help ease the losses of All-News4JAX first-team selection Riley Talbert and player of the year Clare Coyle.
2. Providence (0-0, Class 2A)
Notable: The Stallions have been a consistent team under coach Gigi Bistrow, including back-to-back state semifinal appearances where they ran into a dynasty in Miami Country Day both times. The Stallions return every piece of the puzzle from last year, including Janie Boyd (14.1 ppg), second-team All-News4JAX selection Janai Jordan (13.6 ppg), Julianna Baskin (10.6 ppg, 9.7 rpg), Kasey Davey (8.9 ppg, 6 rpg) and Kennedy Loux (7.7 ppg). 15 in 2023, They’ve won 18 straight games against local competition, the last loss coming on Jan. 20, 2023 to Ridgeview.
3. Bolles (0-0, Class 3A)
Notable: The Bulldogs went 19-9 last year and lost in the second round of the state playoffs. Abby Knauff (15.1 ppg) is the only first-team All-News4JAX selection returning in the area. She enters the season with 1,375 career points and likely as the area’s top player. Evie Freeman (9.7 ppg, 6.4 rpg) and Presley Norman (9 ppg) are also back and Terrell McCoy provides presence in the paint.
4. Ribault (0-0, Class 4A)
Notable: The Trojans went 16-6 last year before a loss to Bishop Kenny in the playoff opener. Destiny Donaldson (10 ppg, 5.3 rpg) and Terryanna Medlock (7.8 ppg, 3.9 rpg) are the leading returnees for Ribault and head coach Shante Stevens. They’ve got a tough slate right out of the gate, with an opener against Bolles (Tuesday) before tournament action next week and a trip to Bishop Kenny (Dec. 3) when they come back.
5. Beachside (1-0, Class 5A)
Notable: The Barracudas went 20-6 in just their second season, with underclassmen Kendall Kane (14.5), Morgan Cremen (11.8 ppg), Madi Ray (9.8 ppg, 9.3 rpg) and Anni Ament (7 ppg, 5 rpg) leading the way. What’s in store for this season for Beachside?
6. San Jose Prep (0-0, Class 2A)
Notable: The Storm have Lamiyah Hogans (13.8 ppg) and Jazlynn Curtis (9.2 ppg) back from last year’s 16-10 team that had wins over the likes of Bolles, Ponte Vedra and Ribault. San Jose Prep had three battles against Providence that were epic, 51-48, 58-56 and 62-59.
