Sage is the epitome of a good dog. She came to the rescue just last week and has integrated into the chaos without issue. She was scared and unsure at first, but she quickly adapted to the schedule, the people, and is better every day with the dogs. She isn’t like the dogs we normally take in that are in rough shape, but has been well cared for and very loved.
Sage came to South Georgia Equine Rescue (SGER) house-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained, plus does well in the car. She doesn’t seem to have the normal shepherd energy (5/10 energy), but does have the one-person loyalty. We think she would do best as the only pet in the house, or as she adjusts to the rescue, she may learn to love other animals, and not just tolerate them.
