As wildfires burned in Brantley County and threatened areas near Highway 82, the owner of South Georgia Equine Rescue said she had only a short window to move hundreds of animals out of harm’s way.

Jet is a 3 year 8 month old lab maybe shep mix. He is a big ball of love. He is very obedient on and off leash. He is dog friendly and loves everyone he meets. He has been with us since he was a puppy despite doing multiple events and being the best boy. He has been with us for 1008 days!

Loverboy dog needs a home

South Georgia Equine Rescue was established to help horses in need of a place to heal, but over time it has grown for many different species to find a safe haven. Dogs and puppies have been the rescue’s biggest in take in the last five years, and it doesn’t seem to be letting up.
