JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Wolfson Children’s Hospital received a $205,000 donation on Friday from Subaru of Jacksonville through the annual “Share the Love” campaign put on by Subaru dealerships nationwide.
Since 2016, Subaru of Jacksonville has chosen Wolfson Children’s Hospital as its hometown charity for the annual fundraising campaign, and Friday’s donation to Wolfson was the largest to a single charity among all Subaru dealerships nationwide this year.
Phil Porter Sr. and Phil Porter Jr., owners of Subaru of Jacksonville, presented a check to Allegra C. Jaros, president of Wolfson Children’s Hospital, at the dealership’s expanded campus on St. Johns Bluff Road South.
Kallam Achors, a Wolfson Children’s Hospital patient, and his family attended the presentation.
Subaru of Jacksonville’s donations support programs and services at Wolfson Children’s Hospital that are utilized by patients like Kallam.
During the latest Share the Love campaign, for every new Subaru purchased or leased between Nov. 21, 2024, and Jan. 2, 2025, Subaru of America donated $250 to a charity of the customer’s choice—whether it was a national organization or the local hometown charity, Wolfson Children’s Hospital.
Regardless of the charity chosen, this year, Subaru of Jacksonville gave an additional $350 to Wolfson Children’s Hospital for every new vehicle purchased or leased.
Subaru of Jacksonville is the only Subaru dealer in the country to support its hometown charity selection so generously.
