JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – If you’re a Jags fan, you’re probably starting your Monday with a smile.
The Jacksonville Jaguars got it done on Sunday— holding off the Texans in a tight one at EverBank Stadium, and fans were loving every second.
It’s victory Monday as the Jags are now 2-1 after beating a divisional opponent in the Houston Texans.
Fans told News4JAX what stood out most was the defense.
The D-line put serious pressure on the Texans — disrupting plays and keeping them out of rhythm.
Houston did manage to tie things up briefly, but the Jags responded with a strong scoring drive. Then came the moment that sealed the deal — a late-game interception that sent the crowd into a frenzy.
It wasn’t perfect — but fans say it was a win!
“In years past, we didn’t lose those games badly, so despite all these problems, despite all of these issues, we are still getting the victory — and we are 2-1 right now. It feels good," a fan told News4JAX.
Michael Wenk said this was “the game of the season.”
“Had they lost that game, things would have probably looked a little grim. Now things are looking pretty good. There are easy things to fix,” Wenk said.
So now the focus shifts to a serious challenge ahead — the Jaguars will travel west to face the undefeated San Francisco 49ers next Sunday.
