Jags fans look to future success after team pulls out win against Texans

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars improved to 2-1 on the season Sunday after defeating the Houston Texans 17-10 at EverBank Stadium.

Despite maintaining the lead for most of the game, Jacksonville’s victory wasn’t secured until the final minutes when an interception sealed the win over their AFC South rival.

The loss drops Houston to 0-3 for the season.

The Jaguars’ offense mounted an 83-yard drive in the fourth quarter to break a tie and secure the win, overcoming earlier struggles that included dropped passes and a turnover.

“Despite all these problems, all these issues, we’re still getting the victory,” said Jaguars fan Kevin Glennon. “We’re 2-1 right now. It feels good.”

The win resonated with fans, who celebrated with “Duuuvvalll” chants throughout the stadium parking lots after the game. Many expressed optimism about the team’s direction, even while acknowledging room for improvement.

“I thought it was the game of the season,” fan Michael Wenk said. “Had they lost that game, things would have probably looked a little grim. Now things are looking pretty good. There’s easy things to fix.”

The Jaguars will face another test next week when they travel west to take on the San Francisco 49ers.
