JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was arrested in connection with the 2023 strangulation death of a 50-year-old man found in his Merrill Road home, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
William Bell Jr. was arrested in early September for the man’s murder and four other felony charges in the case, JSO said.

On Nov. 30, 2023, someone asked JSO to check on the man in his home, where officers found him strangled to death. Investigators identified Bell as the suspect.
