Drivers are advised to use the Acosta Bridge as an alternate route during this time.

Intermittent full bridge closures will occur overnight between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. for testing and final repairs.

The Florida Department of Transportation awarded a $2.1 million contract to Seacoast, Inc. to complete the electrical repairs.

FDOT crews responded immediately after the incident, conducting a safety assessment before reopening the bridge to traffic later that morning.
