JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A robbery suspect already in custody was charged with murder after his accomplice was shot and killed in 2015, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
JSO said on Nov. 19, 2015, officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of Edgewood Avenue South in reference to an armed robbery to a business and a shooting.

Investigators said one of the two suspects was shot while the store owner defended himself during the robbery.
JSO said after both suspects fled the scene, Kurt Dean, 24, was dropped off at a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound, where he died.
The second suspect was not immediately identified and the case went cold.
In 2025, JSO made additional interviews and reviewed evidence leading to the identity of Radariaus Javonn McGauley, 34.
He was already in custody on unrelated charges and was re-arrested and charged with felony murder for the robbery of the business and death of his accomplice, JSO said.
