JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. – The Beaches Council on Aging is celebrating 50 years of dedicated service to seniors in the Jacksonville Beaches area.

As the senior population continues to grow in local beach communities, the organization’s services have become increasingly vital.

Essential transportation services

Since 1975, the organization has been a cornerstone of support for the elderly community, primarily through its Dial-a-Ride program. This essential service provides safe and affordable transportation for seniors and individuals with disabilities, helping them maintain independence and access to crucial medical appointments.

Anniversary celebration details

To commemorate this milestone, the Council is hosting a special celebration.

  • Time: 6 to 9 p.m.
  • Location: Greenhouse at the Yards, 254 Alta Mar Dr, Ponte Vedra Beach
  • Event Features: Live music, food, and community recognition
