Bailey’s husband, 40-year-old Joshua Elias Bailey, was booked into jail late Tuesday night on charges of violating a domestic violence injunction and violating probation on a felony offense.
On Wednesday afternoon, Joshua Bailey had his first appearance in court following his arrest. His bond was set at $15,003, and he was ordered not to use drugs or weapons. He was also ordered not to contact his wife nor return to the listed address.
Before his arrest on Tuesday, Joshua Bailey told News4JAX that he went to the Sunoco near Maxville, where his wife’s last location pinged, to try to find her.
JSO had said Kayla Bailey might be in danger and asked for the community’s help to determine if she was safe.

“We were hoping that we could just pick her up and bring her home, because the kids still needed to go to school and everything else like that,” Joshua said. “And we started the search right away. We knew something was wrong.”
JSO said Wednesday afternoon that Bailey had been found after a joint search with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department. She was lying in a wooded area off a trail and was taken to a hospital to be treated after spending more than two days without water or shelter.
On Bailey’s Facebook profile, she describes herself as a business owner and digital creator.
On her business’s website, fohhphotography.com, Bailey is described as a Jacksonville photographer and a mother of five who began her business journey in October 2013.
Joshua Bailey’s next court date was set for Sept. 3.
