ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – As St. Johns County continues its work on the County Road 210 widening project, drivers are being informed of an upcoming traffic shift that will be implemented as a result.
The county said that on the night of Friday, Aug. 15, the westbound and eastbound lanes of CR 210 will transition from the way it is currently to a newly constructed roadway just east of Stone Creek Circle.

Traffic will then return to the existing roadway at the intersection with Cimarrone Boulevard.
“Appropriate signage and roadway striping will be in place to guide drivers through the new configuration,” the county said.
Drivers are asked to exercise caution as traffic adjusts to the new pattern. County officials advise that entering or leaving neighborhoods affected by the construction may be easier outside of “rush hour” periods, which can aid in reducing travel times and overall congestion.
The county also said that once the shift is in effect, construction work to install ramps, which will provide access to the new lanes, will begin between the old and new roadways.
“St. Johns County appreciates the public’s patience as the project continues and looks forward to delivering the improved roadway upon completion,” officials said in a news release.
The widening project, which has $30.5 million allocated toward it from the 2025 FY budget, begins at the four-laning at Cimarrone Boulevard and extends west a little over 2 miles to the intersection of Greenbriar Road.
The project is expected to be completed by spring 2026.
