ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – A deadly crash occurred at 11 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Old Moultrie Road and Lewis Point Road in St. Johns County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
A SUV was making a left turn onto Old Moultrie Road when it collided with a pickup truck traveling north on Old Moultrie Road.

The front of the pickup struck the left driver’s side door of the SUV.
The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck suffered minor injuries and was taken to Memorial Hospital.
The pickup truck driver was wearing a seatbelt; the SUV driver was not.
The vehicles came to rest on the grass shoulder on the northeast side of the intersection. The investigation is ongoing.
