These little piggies went to the market? Two pigs on the loose spark Murray Hill neighborhood frenzy

MURRAY HILL, Fla. – Why did the pigs cross the road?

We may never know the answer, but for several days, two adventurous pigs were spotted trotting through the neighborhood, delighting and surprising locals in Murray Hill. Residents have been buzzing about the unusual sighting, with many taking to social media to share their stories and photos.

Brian Roy and his family were among the lucky ones who saw them up close.

“The whole situation was adorable. My wife’s just scrolling, and she goes, ‘Oh my god, the pigs are right by the house.’ Then we turn the corner, and my daughter’s like, ‘Let’s get the pigs,’” Roy said.

Others, like Jackson Bahr, were caught off guard.

“I heard the oink, you know, they came right around the corner… I thought it was going to be a cat or a dog or something, and then I took a closer look, and yeah, it was just two little pigs running around,” Bahr recalled.

Not everyone was so fortunate. Nina Delucchi, who often visits Murray Hill, went searching for the pigs with her young nephews.

“We got in the car with a bag of carrots and celery and went and drove around looking for these pigs. They’re on their knees, yelling, ‘Piggy, piggy!’ out the window. After like 30, 45 minutes, we had to take a break, and we never actually saw them,” she said.

The Murray Hill Community Facebook page quickly filled with pig sightings. One resident, Michael Hammond, even created a Google form to track the pigs’ movements on a map.

“The idea behind that is somebody is probably going to want to find these animals and either bring them home, or at some point, I’m sure that we’ll want authorities to pick them up and take them someplace safe for their own safety,” Hammond explained.

No new sightings were reported on Friday, but the neighborhood camaraderie remains strong. Andie Peart, who’s been following the updates, hopes the community continues to embrace the pigs.

“They’ll be, you know, the community pigs, and we’ll track them, and we’ll follow them. We’ll all be friends, one big, happy Murray Hill family,” Peart said.

Despite all the excitement, Animal Control says they haven’t received any calls about the pigs.
