ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – Residents of the Rivertown community are advised to boil their water due to equipment failure at the water treatment facility, which was further impacted by recent severe storms.
JEA issued the advisory to nearly 5,000 residents on Monday.

The utility company said all repairs were completed at the Rivertown Water Treatment Facility.
Boil water advisories are issued when low water system pressure may allow bacteria or contaminants to enter the water supply.
