Morgan’s brand of relatable, Southern humor has captivated audiences across the country. Known for weaving stories about family life, motherhood, and the everyday absurdities of womanhood, the Tennessee native has spent the last 25 years building a devoted following — one that exploded after her 2023 stand-up special reached global audiences.

Now, she’s teaming up with acclaimed producer Chuck Lorre to headline a new Netflix series, “Leanne.”

The show follows a grandmother whose world is turned upside down when her husband of 33 years leaves her for another woman. As she navigates menopause, heartbreak, and starting over, she leans on her family — and her signature wit.

“It’s all a dream come true,“ explained Morgan. ”I felt, as a little child, I had this dream in my head, and I knew something was going to happen. I felt [it] in my heart, but I never knew it was going to be this special and this wonderful and this unbelievable.”

The sitcom is now available to stream on Netflix.
