Study Hacks: Our anchors share some tips that help keep their families on track. What works for your students?

Back-to-school time is just around the corner, and we want to help our viewers and their families be ready for the transition.

That includes getting back into the groove of studying.

Melanie, whose son and daughter will BOTH be in middle school this year, shared some plans she has to help them, particularly as her daughter shifts from elementary to middle school.

“Really talking about how she can organize her life so she can better handle this very, very different schedule,” Melanie said.

She also shared that one strategy in her house is to look ahead at the full week when it comes to activities, so if the kids need to work ahead on schoolwork, they can do that.

“Because you want the activity, right? But you also have to do the work, because that’s what you’re here for: to go to school. The activities are all extra,” Melanie said.
