“I am appointing the most conservative senator in the state of Florida, someone that has a very clear record as a warrior for all the things that the voters that elected us want us to do to be our next chief financial officer,” DeSantis said.
Ingoglia, originally from New York, served in the House of Representatives from 2014 to 2022. He was elected to the Senate in 2022 and reelected subsequently.
“I’ve had a history of calling out wasteful spending, whether it was Democrats or Republicans, because I truly believe that government is accountable to the people, and our job is to make sure that we deliver that promise. There are some things that I’m going to work on as your next CFO, and I’m going to work day and night to ensure that this happens,” Ingoglia said.
