JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The line formed early for the newest restaurant to open its doors in Oakleaf: popular chicken tender chain Raising Cane’s.
Customers were camped out in the early morning hours on Tuesday ahead of the grand opening at 10 a.m., hoping to take advantage of the opening day deals.

There will be a drawing where 20 customers can earn free Cane’s for a year, and the first 100 customers will get some merchandise and a free box combo card.
The Baton Rouge, Louisiana-based restaurant is the latest addition to Oakleaf Station, which also houses Gator’s Dockside and Epic Theatres.
The 2,691-square-foot restaurant includes a double drive-thru on 1.21 acres at southwest Merchants Way and Argyle Forest Boulevard with inside seating for 52 and patio seats for 30, according to News4JAX’s news partner the Jacksonville Daily Record.
Raisingcanes.com shows 15 current locations in Florida, with the closest in Gainesville and two in the Orlando area.
The Daily Record has also reported the possibility of four more of the restaurants coming to Northeast Florida, with Mandarin, Town Center, North Jacksonville, and Regency all identified as potential future locations.
