Two customers fired shots at robbers during a heist Saturday at the Cash America Pawn shop on Blanding Boulevard, according to a report from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

The report said the men had weapons that were not deadly (not guns or knives).
One of them stayed at the door and held it open for the other two, who smashed a glass case and window and stole $9,000 worth of gold bracelets, according to information in the report.
During the robbery, a 51-year-old customer asked the salesman if he wanted him to intervene, and then he pulled out a gun, pointed it at one of the robbers and yelled at him to stop and leave the store.
The witnesses told police that the robbers then ran out of the store, and the customer fired once in their direction.
As the robbers ran out of the shop and headed north toward a neighboring business, a 21-year-old customer also pulled out a concealed weapon and fired a shot at the men, police said.
Police said they don’t know if any of the robbers were hit by the gunshots.
In addition to the theft, the robbers caused $6,300 in damage inside the store, according to the report.
