JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning on the Westside.
JSO said the incident was near 103rd St. and West Chase Court.

According to JSO, officers arrived at the scene around 1:25 a.m. and found a man in his mid-20s who had been shot in the leg.
Jacksonville Fire and Rescue transported the victim to a local hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
Investigators reported the victim was walking in the area when an unknown individual approached and fired multiple shots, striking him once. The suspect fled, and the victim was unable to provide a description.
Detectives are canvassing the neighborhood for witnesses and surveillance footage, while crime scene investigators collect evidence.
