Clay County Sheriff’s Office clears hundreds of juveniles from Orange Park Mall after disruptions

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – The Clay County Sheriff’s Office forced hundreds of juveniles to leave the Orange Park Mall after causing disruptions.

The sheriff’s office is telling parents to pick up their children immediately from the mall.

During the day, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office had dozens of cars lining the lot waiting for parents to pick their kids up.

They told the children to move over to the At Home store.

A bystander said there were fights, but the sheriff’s office said there were no such confrontations.

News4JAX reached out to the sheriff’s office, which said:

“There was a large number of juveniles causing a disruption at the Orange Park Mall. CCSO responded and organized to have parents come pick them up.”

Officials said no arrests have been made.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office posted on social media today about a potential gathering, saying, “The holiday weekend is still going strong and we are out to help you enjoy it safely!”

In 2021, fights broke out at the mall carnival.

In 2022, the sheriff’s office cleared the mall for juvenile disturbances.

Last year, deputies investigated fights at the mall and a nearby shooting.
