MACCLENNY, Fla. – The Baker County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left a 14 and an 18-year-old injured on Thursday night.
The shooting happened in the area of South Boulevard and Ninth Street in Macclenny.
The 14-year-old was treated and released from the hospital, and the 18-year-old is still in critical condition.
BCSO said it isn’t calling anyone a suspect because they are still trying to determine what happened and what was self-defense.
Officials said multiple young adults were detained, interviewed, and released. All parties are accounted for.
Police said it’s still “sketchy” what led up to the shooting. They haven’t talked to the victims yet to piece the story together.
