PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. – The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office said a fire that broke out in a home on Sunday night has been ruled arson by the state fire marshal’s office.

Three people were hospitalized as a result of the flames.
According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, first responders were called to a mobile home on Kin Street in Interlachen Lake Estates around 8 p.m. after receiving a call that said a man had set clothes on fire in a laundry room.
Officials said that as fire crews and deputies arrived, they discovered entry areas to the home were blocked with trash and other debris.
Video released by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office shows responders removing an air conditioning unit to give them access to the home. Responders removed three people and three dogs from the home.
The two women were taken to HCA Florida Putnam Hospital. One was treated and released; the other was admitted for observation.
The man, who officials suspect started the fire, was the most severely injured and was flown to the burn unit at UF Shands in Gainesville.
Deputies said they have responded multiple times to the residence for “disturbance and domestic violence calls.”
In April, one of the victims reported Ogle attempting to set a jacket on fire, officials said.
Three dogs located at the residence were taken to Putnam County Animal Care and Control, according to the sheriff’s office.
This is an ongoing investigation, but the sheriff’s office added that charges are expected.
