Two juveniles were hurt Tuesday in a tubing incident in Putnam County, and one of them did not survive, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said.
The incident was reported on Star Lake in Hawthorne on the Putnam-Alachua County line.

According to a report from WCJB, a Putnam County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson described the children as being 8, 10 and 11 years old.
Two of the children were hospitalized, and one of them died. The third child was OK.
FWC told News4JAX that its officers, along with Putnam County deputies, responded Tuesday to a reported boating incident involving a tube being towed by a personal watercraft.
FWC did not elaborate on what happened, saying the investigation remains active.
“The FWC extends its heartfelt condolences to the family affected by this devastating event,” Public Information Officer Chad Weber wrote in a statement sent to News4JAX.
