Nassau County Fire Rescue confirmed that Eddins has been placed on administrative leave with pay while the case is under review.
“We have been made aware of the charges brought against this individual on June 14, 2025,” said Fire Chief Brady Rigdon. “Effective immediately, he has been placed on administrative leave with pay pending a review of this case, as well as departmental and county policies.”
An arrest report shows a driver said Eddins cut in front of him, swiped their front side bumper, and caused the vehicle to go up onto the curb. The driver gave police the tag number, which was traced back to Eddins.
Police later found a small scratch on the rear passenger side of Eddins’ truck.
What Eddins told police when they came to his door is redacted in the report.
His next court date is set for July.
