JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Florida rapper Kodak Black made his return to Jacksonville last month and performed in front of a packed crowd at Daily’s Place.
When asked why he continues to return to the First Coast, he had a simple answer: “You keep asking for it.”
But it’s more than just demand — it’s love.
“I like it,” Kodak said. “I’ve been coming here since about 2015. Every time, it gets better.”
While fans know him for his music, Kodak said his heart is also in community work. He founded the Zachariah McQueen Foundation and People Rely on Just Enough Cash to Survive (PROJECTS).
The rapper emphasized the importance of staying grounded and connected to the people who support him, especially young fans who look up to him, even amid well-documented legal issues.
“I ain’t doing nothing wrong,” he said. “I’m good people.”
“Stay consistent”, he said. ”You never know. Like today you might feel like giving up, might be the day that you what a call it, that move that you scared to make, might be that move, might be the one."
