JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Friday will be a Weather Authority Impact Day.

Thursday brought heavy rains and strong to severe thunderstorms, and Friday afternoon will likely be no different as a cold front and active sea breezes move in.

The impact would start around 2 p.m. and last into the night.

We are expecting an earlier start along the Gulf Coast with showers reaching I-75 from late morning through early afternoon. Strong to isolated severe storms will be possible. Rain with thunderstorms will continue overnight and early Saturday.

Friday: Cloudy skies developing with showers and thunderstorms, at a 60-70 percent chance. Morning lows will be in the 60s and 70s, with afternoon highs reaching the upper 80s to low 90s. Winds will be from the SE/SW at 10-15 mph. Showers and storms will continue overnight, through early Saturday morning.
