The event raised money to support the Clara White Mission’s programs that provide hot meals, transitional housing, and workforce solutions to homeless and low-income individuals in Jacksonville.

Veterans were featured on community teams in honor and memory of Joketra Horne’s father, whose legacy of service inspired her commitment to giving back.

“It’s been an amazing opportunity to work with Clara White Mission which does such wonderful work throughout the city of Jacksonville to serve our homeless veterans and citizens that are in the surrounding areas,” Horne said.

She also added that it’s important to raise funds because organizations like theirs are getting less federal funding.

“If you can’t give today, you can go onto the Clara White Mission website or the website for the Horne Foundation,” Horne said.
