JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Friday on Jacksonville’s Westside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
It happened at the intersection of Youngerman Circle and Argyle Forest Boulevard around 2 p.m.

The road was closed for hours during the investigation.
According to JSO, an SUV collided with the motorcycle and the rider died at the hospital.
JSO said the motorcyclist, a man in his 70s, was wearing safety gear.
JSO said a man in his mid-20s drove into he path of the motorcycle as it made a left turn onto northbound Youngerman Circle.
This is the 66th traffic fatality in Duval County this year and the 15th involving a motorcyclist. Westbound Argyle Forest Blvd. and all of Youngerman Cir. were expected to be shut down until 6 p.m. as investigators conducted the traffic crash investigation.
