Man, 28, charged in 2024 Arlington murder

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was charged with murder last week in connection with the shooting death of a 28-year-old man in Arlington, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Police said Michael Byron, 28, was already in custody on unrelated charges. On May 13, he was charged with the murder of Shawndell Robinson.

On Oct. 23, 2024, JSO responded to Arlington Road after receiving reports of a shooting.

According to JSO, when officers arrived, they found Robinson shot to death.

After conducting their investigation, JSO detectives identified Byron as the suspect.

Byron was charged with second-degree murder and remains in the Duval County jail.
