The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said an adult with autism who had been missing for more than 12 hours was found safe Monday.
The woman had last been seen in the Fairfield area of Jacksonville around 10 p.m. Sunday. Her caretakers told police she has been diagnosed with a developmental disability and autism.

Caretakers reported her missing at 6:40 a.m. from 8th Street East.
Police announced around 1:45 p.m. that the woman had been found and was safe.
