Mariam Feist is the CEO of the Jewish Federation and Foundation of Northeast Florida.
She’s been leading the organization since 2021. Feist brings her expertise on Jewish heritage to Northeast Florida, with more than three decades of experience in Jewish nonprofit management.
She’s said that the vibrancy of Jacksonville’s community and it’s growth is what drew her to the River City. And she also describes her work as “a calling, not a job.”

The Jewish Federation and Foundation of Northeast Florida is dedicated to building a vibrant and inclusive community and sustaining Jewish life in Duval, Clay, Nassau and St. Johns counties.
They work to strengthen, support, and sustain Jewish life in our local community, Israel, and around the world.
The organization also helps members of the Jewish community who are facing tough times, and it also offers a wide range of cultural and educational programs.
Adam Chaskin
Adam Chaskin, the CEO of the Jewish Community Alliance, has been with the organization since 2018 and has more than 20 years of experience in leadership roles at nonprofit community organizations and universities throughout the United States.
As CEO, he has maintained JCA’s top national ranking while also adding new technologies, including the launch of the MyJ smartphone app.
Under Chaskin, JCA partnered with the First Coast YMCA to create “Together Against Hate,” a group that covers issues concerning prejudices against race, religion, and LGBTQ+ communities.
David Miller
David Miller is the co-founder of Brightway Insurance, which is one of the largest property and casualty insurance retailers in the country.
Miller served as a former president of the Jewish Community Alliance.
In response to the rise of anti-Semitism, Miller established the Together Strong Community Fund to combat hate and bias of all kinds in the community.
