Organized by the West Augustine Community Redevelopment Agency, the parade began at New St. James Missionary Baptist Church on North Rodriguez Street in St. Augustine before traveling down West King Street to Collier-Blocker-Puryear Park.

Additionally, hundreds of people lined up along King Street to engage in the festivities.

Various youth dance groups entertained the crowd with lively performances, and local youth soccer and football teams showcased their uniforms, while first responders delighted children with their flashing lights and sirens.

Community organizations also participated, tossing candy to the enthusiastic crowd.

Aurora Sanks, a community member, expressed her delight at the event, saying, “It is so fun to see the joy in the children — and even adults — waiting for that parade to come down to see the bunny and other things that are going to happen here in the field today. We encourage everybody to come on down. We’ve got food, cakes, the kids. Just come out and enjoy the fellowship with each other on this day.”
