JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man who was previously arrested in connection with the murder of 7-year-old Breon Allen Jr. was charged last week with the 2024 murder of a woman in Arlington, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

JSO said Dannel Lenoir Larkins, 20, who was already in custody at the Duval County jail after being arrested in connection with Allen’s murder, was charged on Thursday with murder and tampering with evidence in connection with the shooting death of Valondia Norris, 43.

On April 22, police responded to several reports from residents of an apartment complex on Edenfield Road who said they heard gunshots.

When officers arrived, they found Norris lying on a curb in the parking lot with a gunshot wound.

She died at the scene, according to JSO.

After months of investigation, JSO identified Larkins as a suspect in Norris’ murder. He was also charged with tampering with evidence in this case.

This marks the second person charged in connection with Norris’ murder.

According to the JSO inmate portal, Larkins was arrested on Jan. 28 after being charged in the deadly shooting of Allen.

Keith Johnson, who was also arrested in January and charged in connection with Allen’s murder, was charged with accessory after the fact and tampering with evidence in Norris’ murder.
