Eddie Ward, Ed Greene, and Elijah and Nazari Pringle attend Deleware State University. They all have different ambitions and potential careers in cybersecurity, accounting, banking analysis and content creation.

They said just being at the conference can expand their horizons and give them wisdom.

“The greatest thing that we can get, especially as young people is knowledge because the problem that we really have is not that we don’t know what to do with our lives or we don’t know where we are going with our lives, we just need direction and the information that would help us get there,” Elijah Pringle said.

Nazari Pringle said he wants to learn from people’s mistakes so he doesn’t make the same ones.

The conference is about learning how to take risks, building connections, and doing what you say you’re going to do no matter what others may say.

Conference speakers included Lil Duval, a local celebrity who stopped in his hometown while in the middle of a national comedy tour to drop gems of truth.

‘Energy matters in everything that you do," Lil Duval said. “I can give you advice on certain things, but it might not work for you. But if you have the energy, whatever you put in your hustle, it should work.”

He also encouraged people to be open to guidance but be confident in forging their own path to whatever success means to them.

Troy McNair Sr. and Maurice “Mo” Henderson said they want everyone who shows up to the conference to be empowered and inspired.

Ward and Greene said they learned a lot from the conference.

“Don’t be scared to do whatever you want to do, whatever you want to do, just do it, they all started from the ground up, we are young, we are trying to get to where they are,” Ward said.

Greene said the conference can help him and his peers build a better future.

“...we don’t have to take as many steps or make as many mistakes,” Greene said.
