JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The 2nd Chance Job Fair will be held in Jacksonville for veterans re-entering the workforce, former incarcerated individuals, and people with gaps in their employment history.

It’s an initiative designed for people looking for a fresh start in their professional lives.

The fair will take place on April 15 at Northside Church of Christ at 4736 Avenue B in Jacksonville.

Attendees will have networking opportunities with a wide range of employers from various industries.

There will be workshops and seminars that provide insights on resume building, interview skills and career development.

Employers will have on-site interviews to fill positions.

Additional resources will be available, such as career counseling, legal advice, and financial planning to help navigate the path to employment.

The job fair is open to anyone seeking employment, particularly those who’ve faced barriers in their professional journeys including:

  • Formerly incarcerated individuals
  • People with gaps in their employment history
  • Individuals looking to transition into new career fields
  • Veterans reentering the civilian workforce
