The Toyota slowed but continued southbound in the northbound lane of San Jose Blvd. until it came to rest as it rolled into a Subaru that was northbound on San Jose Blvd. stopped for a red traffic signal at Baymeadows Road, JSO said.

The unnamed driver of the Toyota was taken to a local hospital where she died.

The drivers of the other vehicles reported minor injuries.

JSO said her death marks the 43rd traffic fatality in Duval County this year.

After the crash, the intersection of Baymeadows and San Jose was slow-moving as investigators collected evidence from the scene, but it has since resumed normal operations.

No other information was immediately released.
