JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Symphony has received a $15 million donation - the largest single gift in the orchestra’s 75-year history.
The symphony announced Tuesday that the gift is dedicated to their endowment fund, which supports symphony musicians, the commissioning of new works and artistic partnerships.

“These generous funds are essential to ensuring that we engage and inspire all audiences in Jacksonville, now and in the future, through a wide variety of programming and special performances.” Music Director and Conductor Courtney Lewis said.

The gift includes a matching challenge, offering the opportunity to double the impact of the contribution.
The donor wished to remain anonymous.
“We are truly in and of our community, and this generous gift stands as a testament to the love and support that drives us forward, affirming that our work and presence matter deeply to those we serve,” Steven Libman, President and CEO said.
The Jacksonville Symphony is North Florida’s leading nonprofit performing arts organization offering live performances at Jacoby Symphony Hall in the Jacksonville Center for the Performing Arts and other venues throughout the area.
