City making tweaks to naming rights deal extension with Jaguars, EverBank

Amendment to the agreement would update the Jaguars' mailing address, among other changes

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The city of Jacksonville is proposing extending its stadium naming rights deal with the Jaguars and EverBank -- with some tweaks, including a change to the Jaguars' mailing address.

The city council is set to vote on the amendments to the naming rights agreement at its regular meeting Tuesday night.

The proposal would extend the naming rights agreement for EverBank Stadium through Feb. 28, 2027 -- but would provide for adjusting what EverBank owes for the naming rights when the Jaguars can’t play in Jacksonville because of the “Stadium of the Future” renovations.

Talks will begin in August about EverBank extending its contract until 2028. If no deal is reached to extend the agreement by Jan. 31, 2026, the city and the Jaguars would be free to shop around the naming rights, but not to other banking businesses.

The proposal would also rename “TIAA Bank Field Drive” to “EverBank Stadium Drive,” which would change the Jaguars' mailing address to One EverBank Stadium Drive.

The amendment to the naming rights agreement also would reduce the reimbursement the team owes EverBank from the 2019 season by nearly $300,000. The Jaguars played in London that year, but another major event (the Florida-Georgia game) was held in the stadium in November, so that evened things out.
