It’s the 15th military baby shower presented in partnership with Operation Shower since 2010. The “Sweet Dreams” - themed shower will have lunch catered by Outback Steakhouse; guest speakers, games, and the distribution of Operation Shower’s signature Showers In A Box.
Each mom will receive products and gift items for mothers and babies donated by various organizations.
“For military moms who are expecting a baby and whose partners are deployed – and especially those who are active duty themselves, the impending arrival of a child can be both exciting and stressful. Whether they are serving on the front lines or doing everything at home that enables their loved ones to proudly serve our country, these courageous women deserve our love, support and an opportunity to celebrate this wonderful milestone together,” Operation Shower Founder and Chief Shower Officer LeAnn Morrissey said.
Lee Smith, The PLAYERS Executive Director expressed gratitude to the moms-to-be for their service and sacrifice.
“In the military, families serve too. In partnership with our Proud Partners, Optum, Morgan Stanley and Comcast, we are honored to start these families off with many of the essentials they will need for their new bundles of joy, along with some wonderful gifts and a day of fun and celebration,” Smith said.
