No burn authorizations will be issued for Clay, Duval, Nassau counties due to weather

DUVAL COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Forest Service will not be issuing burning authorizations for Clay, Duval, and Nassau counties due to unfavorable weather conditions on Thursday.

Fire Weather Watches are also in place for Marion, Putnam, Flagler counties as wind gusts will top out between 20-30 mph.

St. Johns County Fire Rescue also responded to a brush fire off County Road 305 Wednesday night. They found six acres of woods burning with a structure nearby.

The Florida Forest Service arrived and cut a fire line around the affected area and are ensuring the fire is fully extinguished.

Fire Weather Watches are also in place for Marion, Putnam, Flagler counties as wind gusts will top out between 20-30 mph.
