JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Mitch Morse, the Jaguars starting center and a former Pro Bowler, announced his retirement from the NFL on Thursday after 10 seasons.
“The things I’ll remember and cherish most about my career are the relationships and bonds I created with my teammates, both on and off the field. Nothing can replace that, and I will miss it dearly,” Morse wrote in a statement released by the Jaguars.

Morse, 32, signed with the Jaguars as a free agent last offseason on a two-year contract worth $10.5 million which included a $4 million signing bonus and $7 million guaranteed. He started all 17 games in 2024 and ranked fourth among centers in pass block win rate (96.1%), according to ESPN.
Morse’s announcement means the Jaguars in 2025 could have a fourth starting center in five seasons.
Morse played five seasons for the Buffalo Bills and started 77 games for the franchise and was named to the Pro Bowl in 2022. Morse was a second-round selection in the 2015 NFL Draft by the Kansas City Chiefs.
