“Beginning March 10, the Naval Hospital Jacksonville Emergency Room will have new operating hours from 6 a.m.-6 p.m.,” the post read. “Patients arriving after these hours are advised to go to the nearest hospital.”

The facility said it expects these hours to continue through the summer but “will provide updates” if it believes it can safely continue 24/7 operations.

“We sincerely hope our patients understand as we continue to strive to provide the best care for all,” the post concluded.

News4JAX has contacted the hospital to learn why the hours have been reduced. This story will be updated when we hear back.
