Clay County Sheriff Michelle Cook said that some people reached out to her and said they were able to see email addresses, phone numbers and general locations as a result of the glitch.

“I let the owner of the company know that we have shut it off for now. I don’t think we’ll be using SaferWatch until I get a complete report from the company,” Cook said in a Facebook video.

Cook said she’s done business with the company for almost six years and never experienced something like this before.

“The company has always been very responsive and very good about keeping private information private and working with us to address any issues,” Cook said.

She added that she will give the owner a couple days to research what happened.
