Landrum Middle School was placed on hard lockdown Monday morning after staff received a call from someone claiming he was going to conduct a school shooting.
The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office responded en force and the Real Time Intelligence Center took over the school’s cameras as they assessed the threat and searched the school and surrounding area.
Deputies said they found “no evidence to support the threat is credible.”
But families should expect a large law enforcement presence in all St. Johns County Schools on Monday.
A News4JAX crew saw parents filing in Monday morning in their cars and walking the sidewalks to pick up children at Landrum Middle.
