World’s largest bounce house returns to Jacksonville with a new location and attractions

Big Bounce America is set up on the city’s Westside this year

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – If you are looking for something to do by yourself or even with the entire family this weekend, the world’s largest bounce house is back in Jacksonville.

The Big Bounce America found a new home in Jacksonville. It moved to Westside Golf Center on Parrish Cemetery Road after being at Riverfront Plaza downtown for many years.

A lot of new things are new this year besides the location.

Seven attractions are featured this time. Troy Wheeler, who is the tour manager, says one of the biggest improvements is the big castle expansion.

“There is going to be DJs playing music, bubble machines, snow, machines, confetti cannons,” Wheeler said, adding that the main bouncer increased to 24,000 square feet from a little more than 16,000. “All of it is just a great party.”

A brand new addition is the “City Escape.”

“It is a massive inflatable,” Wheeler said. “It’s going to have bubble machines, DJs that are doing prizes and giveaways and contests throughout the day. It has tons of different-sized balls in there and so many areas to explore and slides.”

Also included are an obstacle course, VIP areas, food vendors and face painting.

Wheeler says the event moved to the Westside of town to expand its reach.

“You get to be where different people are,” he said. “So that more people have access to come here that maybe were too far before. Spreading it out sometimes can help let people experience something new.”

Big Bounce America has a detailed and specific schedule throughout the weekend.

Friday is just for toddlers 3 years old and younger. The session is from 1 to 3 p.m.

On Saturday, the junior session for kids 7 years old and under runs from 9 a.m. until noon.

An adults-only session for those 16 years and older is from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. that day.

On both Saturday and Sunday, a special (big kids) session is scheduled for people 15 years and younger between 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., which is catered toward families.

Wheeler said there is something for everyone to enjoy.

“It is not just the bouncers,” he said. ”We have so many other things here. We have VIP areas that are new this year, we have tons of food, vendors, face painters, ice cream. We have so many different things here.“
