Witnesses said after the bartender asked the woman to leave multiple times, Mabius and the woman began spitting on several people.
Mabius was accused of pushing another woman to the ground and pulled out “fistfuls” of her hair.
Deputies said a bystander pulled Mabius away from the woman. When deputies arrived, they said Mabius became “increasingly belligerent” outside the bar and didn’t comply with instructions to remain seated during the investigation.
Officials said at one point, Mabius tried to walk behind a deputy, forcing them to escort him back to a bench and place him under arrest for resisting without violence.
“This type of behavior will not be tolerated in our community, regardless of celebrity status. Our deputies quickly dealt with an uncooperative individual, and we’re thankful no one was seriously injured during this unfortunate incident,” Sheriff Bill Leeper said.
The victim declined to press charges but Mabius and the woman were arrested for simple battery and resisting without violence.
According to IMDB, Mabius has acted in dozens of projects through the years including the TV series “Ugly Betty,” and multiple Hallmark movies.
