According to Hendrix’s arrest report, his mother told officers she traveled to her son’s home on Oct. 9 to stay with him due to an incoming storm.

During her stay, Hendrix’s mother told police she discovered Carrier’s body wrapped in a tarp in the master bedroom, and she immediately called her daughter so that she could pick her up.

The arrest report then states that when Hendrix’s sister picked up their mother, the women had a conversation with Hendrix, “who became animated.” Then, they drove away to call the police.

When police arrived, they found Carrier wrapped in a large, brown-colored tarp at the doorway of the bedroom at the end of the home’s hallway.

Evidence swabs were collected from the scene, including a knife and baseball bat, and submitted to FDLE for analysis. An autopsy also revealed Carrier suffered four gunshot wounds, according to the arrest report.

Police said another witness told them she went to Hendrix’s home on the evening of Oct. 9 and said she saw and heard a woman shouting from the rear bedroom. The witness also told police Hendrix asked her to leave, so she left.

The witness was also shown a picture of Carrier and indicated that the woman she had heard yelling looked like Carrier, according to the arrest report.

Police said they believe Hendrix was the only other person inside the home when Carrier was murdered.

After reviewing evidence, conducting interviews, and consulting with the State Attorney’s Office, officers served Hendrix with a warrant for murder.

“We are committed to bringing justice for Ms. Carrier’s loved ones,” JSO wrote.
